In a scathing speech delivered in West Palm Beach, Florida, former President Donald Trump took aim at President Joe Biden’s handling of the ongoing conflict in Israel. Trump wasted no time criticizing Biden for what he views as a weakened country under his leadership, allowing for Hamas’ attack on Israel. The former president couldn’t resist highlighting his own foreign policy accomplishments, especially in dealing with Iran.

Trump, never one to hold back, proclaimed, “Under my leadership, Iran was weak and broke and desperate for love; they wanted love, they were weak, and they were broke!” He went on to lament the current state of affairs, with Iran now richer and potentially on the verge of acquiring a nuclear weapon. Trump had pointed words for Biden, calling him “grossly incompetent” and incapable of stringing together a coherent sentence.
The former president went on to contrast his approach to hostage situations with Biden’s. He criticized the decision to release $6 billion of Iran’s frozen money in exchange for American hostages. Trump insisted that paying for hostages sets a terrible precedent, citing his own success in securing the release of hostages without having to pay a dime.
Trump urged Biden to reverse the decision and freeze the $6 billion immediately, adding insult to injury by repeatedly calling him a “dumb person.” He mocked Biden’s alleged lack of comprehension, declaring, “He doesn’t know what the hell money I’m talking about. Freeze it, Joe.”
It’s clear that Donald Trump’s critique of Biden’s handling of the Israel conflict is not without merit. Trump had established a strong stance on Iran and their nuclear ambitions during his time in office, whereas Biden’s approach appears disjointed at best. The decision to release billions of dollars to Iran without securing a more favorable outcome for the United States is perplexing. It’s time for Biden to step up and take action, rather than relying on empty promises and fruitless diplomacy.
