Trump Signs Order to Ban Critical Race Theory, Gender Talks in Schools

President Trump has taken a bold step against the rising tide of wokeness in schools by signing an executive order aimed at putting a stop to critical race theory and controversial gender discussions in the classroom. The new directive, signed on a Wednesday that will surely be remembered, sends a clear message: if schools want to keep their federal funding, then they better think twice before pushing any leftist indoctrination agenda.

Under this executive order, the Departments of Education, Defense, and Health and Human Services have been given just 90 days to outline an “Ending Indoctrination Strategy.” The order doesn’t shy away from tough talk; the attorney general will partner with state and local prosecutors to crack down on educators who overstep their bounds. Those who think they can get away with exploiting minors or pushing unauthorized medical procedures on children should be prepared for a rude awakening.

In a move that further reinforces his commitment to patriotic education, Trump has reactivated the 1776 Commission, which was created during his first term to promote a truthful and proud narrative of American history. The education secretary has 120 days to integrate this back into the educational framework. Given that the previous administration preferred the 1619 Project brand of history, this is a refreshing change aimed at restoring some common sense to what’s being taught in classrooms across the nation.

Critical race theory has been a contentious topic, often criticized by conservatives as a divisive ideology that unfairly demonizes white Americans. Proponents of critical race theory, however, argue that it helps to explore the historical context of race in society. But this executive order recognizes that many parents are tired of schools teaching their children to see each other primarily through the lens of skin color. Instead of fostering unity, it’s just fueling division – something most Americans can agree is not productive.

This executive order is just one of three educational reforms Trump signed that day. Along with combating the spread of antisemitism on college campuses and expanding school choice, the former president is making it clear he’s not backing down from defending the rights of both parents and students. Even without the Senate confirmation of his pick for Education Secretary, Linda McMahon, Trump is moving forward with policies that reflect the values of conservative Americans and push back against a culture that seems intent on indoctrinating future generations. If anything, it proves that even without full cabinet support, he’s still ready to take bold action in favor of American values.
