Former President Donald Trump has made a bold and confident decision not to attend the upcoming Republican primary debates. And who can blame him? The recent CBS poll shows Trump leading the field with a whopping 62% support among Republican voters. That’s right, folks! Trump is ahead by “legendary” numbers. It’s clear that the American people recognize his successful presidency, from achieving energy independence to securing our borders and providing the strongest economy in history. Who needs debates when the public already knows Trump is the best choice?
Of course, the liberal media is trying to downplay Trump’s decision by highlighting the margin of error in the polls. But hey, even with a margin of error of +/- 5.7 points, Trump’s lead is still sky-high. Another poll by InsiderAdvantage backs up these figures, with Trump at 51%. So much for the naysayers claiming Trump is losing support.
Despite the lack of immediate clarification from the Trump campaign regarding his participation in future debates, it’s clear that Trump believes his position in the polls speaks for itself. Why should he waste his time with so-called contenders who can’t even come close to his popularity? Trump knows he doesn’t have to prove himself anymore. The voters already recognize his strength and leadership.

In the absence of Trump at this week’s debate, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis may become the target of other candidates. They see an opportunity to present themselves as the main challenger to Trump, but they don’t stand a chance. Trump’s shadow is long, and no one can escape it. DeSantis may have his own ambitions, but he can’t compete with the overwhelming support for Trump.
While some critics point out how Trump condemned Biden and the Democrats for skipping debates, let’s not forget that Trump is in a league of his own. He’s earned the right to make his own decisions. Do debates really matter when the primary voters hold all the power? They will ultimately decide who deserves the nomination, and it’s clear that Trump is the frontrunner.
So let the liberal media and Trump’s opponents fuss and fret over his decision. It won’t change the fact that Trump is the true leader of the Republican Party. He doesn’t need debates to prove himself because his track record speaks for itself. The American people deserve a leader who has delivered results, and that leader is Donald J. Trump.
