Trump Stops Israeli Assassination Plan: Avoiding a Costly War?

In a move that’s sure to rattle some feathers, President Trump reportedly put the kibosh on a bold Israeli plan to take out Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. While some folks might find this surprising, it plays into a bigger picture Trump has been painting. The goal is clear: avoid escalating a situation where the U.S. doesn’t need to throw troops and dollars off the deep end. Why jump into another endless Middle Eastern mess?

Let’s not forget, the Iranians haven’t crossed the red line of harming Americans, so why should we sanction what could turn out to be a reckless assassination? If the target audience here for violence are Americans, and they’re left untouched, why entertain lethal strategies? There’s wisdom in that restraint, even if the liberal globalists claim otherwise. They often thrive when the U.S. is tangled in foreign conflicts, funneling taxpayer dollars into unending wars.

Israeli officials aren’t exactly relaxed about this, but who can blame them? They live with the Iranian threat breathing down their necks. The question is, should America carry their burden or empower them to handle their own backyard? When certain influencers complain that Trump “doesn’t get to decide” on Khamenei’s fate, they obviously miss the point that U.S. involvement has steep costs. This isn’t about being a puppet on the world stage. We don’t need to kowtow to those who think American lives and taxpayer dollars should be on their hit list.

Netanyahu’s comments about Iranian threats to the U.S. serve as a reminder that the world is a treacherous place. But that doesn’t mean jumping into every conflict headfirst. Trump knows the score, and he knows how to keep America secure without unnecessary military adventurism. This isn’t about turning a blind eye—it’s about picking battles wisely.

And as for the chatter about roping Putin into mediating—it’s a wild card, but not necessarily a losing hand. Engaging Russia isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s strategy. When the chips are down, and you need to negotiate powerfully, why not make use of a heavyweight that’s willing to step in? The liberal media’s kneejerk reaction is predictable, but one thing’s for sure: leadership requires making tough calls and not bowing to globalist pressures. Why should the U.S. dance to the tune of perpetual war?
