Trump Sweeps Biden in Swing-State Poll, Immigration Crisis Rockets to Frontline!

A recent poll conducted among swing-state voters brings some worrying news for Joe Biden’s re-election campaign. According to the survey, the border crisis and economic concerns are taking a toll on his chances to secure a second term in office. When asked who they would vote for, 44 percent of registered voters in key states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin selected former President Donald Trump, while only 35 percent chose Biden. With third-party candidates excluded, Trump prevails even further with a 48 percent to 42 percent advantage over Biden.

Delving deeper into the Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll, it becomes clear that the surveyed voters trust Trump more than Biden when it comes to handling immigration. In fact, Trump enjoys a 22-point margin over Biden on this issue, with 52 percent trusting him compared to Biden’s 30 percent. This margin has grown by 5 points since the previous poll in December.

Interestingly, Trump also emerges as the more trusted candidate on economic issues, leading Biden by a margin of 51 percent to 33 percent. This may seem contradictory, given that 71 percent of the same group of voters expressed concern that the U.S. economy is heading in the wrong direction. It appears that despite these concerns, Trump’s economic record still resonates with voters.

The poll highlights the importance of the economy and immigration in voters’ decision-making process, with 96 percent and 84 percent of respondents respectively considering these issues when deciding how to vote. Moreover, almost two-thirds of those surveyed believe that Biden bears some responsibility for the surge in illegal immigration at the southern border. The percentage of voters who consider immigration as the single most important issue to them has also increased in six of the seven swing states polled.

While this online poll seemingly bodes well for Trump’s chances, it’s worth noting that a potential criminal conviction for the former president could significantly change the political landscape. According to the Bloomberg poll, 53 percent of respondents would be unwilling to vote for Trump if he were to face legal consequences. This explains why Democrats seem obsessed with pursuing legal action against him.

Overall, the poll paints a mixed picture for both Biden and Trump in terms of popularity. Biden has a 58 percent unfavorability rating among those surveyed, while Trump is viewed unfavorably by 52 percent. However, it’s important to note that pollsters contacted registered voters, which may be less reliable than polling likely voters.

Looking ahead to the 2024 election, it remains to be seen whether the institutional GOP has adequately prepared its field organization for ballot collection in states where it is legal. The impact of campaigning, debates, and election-day voting may be diminished compared to the influence of mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, and other so-called “outreach” techniques employed by the Democratic machine.

In the midst of all these uncertainties, one thing is clear: the 2024 election will be a pivotal moment in American history.
