Trump Teases VP Picks: Scott and Noem in the Ring!

In a recent interview on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, the former President Donald Trump opened up about what he’s looking for in a running mate. He emphasized that his vice president selection should possess the qualities of a successful president, as emergency situations can arise, and it is important to have someone capable in that position.

When pressed for a name, Trump mentioned having multiple outstanding individuals in mind and revealed that he had spoken to South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, whom he believes would be a strong candidate. He commended Scott’s recent defense of him, expressing that he sees the senator’s value as more significant in supporting him than in running for himself.

Additionally, Trump lauded South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, stating that she has been a fierce advocate for him. He shared that Noem has remarked she would not compete against him in an election due to the belief that she cannot surpass his success, a sentiment Trump found to be flattering.

Although Trump admitted to never discussing the possibility of Noem becoming his running mate, the former president did not rule out the idea of considering her for the position in the future. Despite his affirmations of these potential candidates, Trump emphasized that he has yet to make a final decision and will not disclose his selection for some time.
