Trump Teases VP Picks: Tim Scott? But Who Called Him Up? Find Out!

Former President Donald Trump had a jam-packed weekend, and boy, did he have a lot to say! During an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump was asked about his potential running mate for the next presidential election. And let me tell you, folks, he was as vague as ever!

When Bartiromo asked if there was anyone on the stage of primary opponents Trump could see as his vice president, he responded with a resounding “possibly.” Now, I don’t know about you, but I like a president who knows what he wants. Come on, Donald, give us some names!

But hold your horses, folks, because Trump did drop a little hint. He mentioned Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina and how they had worked together on those opportunity zones. Trump had some kind words for Scott, calling him a “very good guy” and a “talented guy.” It’s clear that Trump sees potential in Scott, but let’s not jump to conclusions just yet.

Now, here’s where things get interesting. Apparently, some of Trump’s primary opponents have actually called him up to ask about becoming his running mate. Can you believe it? They actually had the audacity to “sort of” ask for permission! Well, well, well, aren’t they a confident bunch. But Trump wouldn’t spill the beans on who these hopefuls are because, you know, he didn’t want to embarrass them. Aw, how considerate of him.

But let’s not forget, folks, that Scott himself is running for president. When asked about the possibility of being the number two on the ticket, Scott made it crystal clear that he’s in it to win it. Second place? No way, Jose! Scott wants to be numero uno, and I can’t blame him. Who wants to settle for being the first loser, right?

On the subject of potential running mates, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has already ruled himself out. He said, and I quote, “I don’t think so. I’m not a No. 2 guy.” Well, well, Governor, aren’t you full of yourself? But I appreciate the honesty. He also mentioned that the vice president doesn’t really have any authority. Hey, at least he’s being realistic.

And let’s not forget about entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy! Trump, being his usual unpredictable self, ended up talking about Ramaswamy when asked about DeSantis. It seems Trump has been keeping an eye on Ramaswamy’s performance in the polls and gave him a little shout-out, saying he’s done a “very good job.” You never know who’ll catch Trump’s attention, folks.

And finally, the question on everyone’s mind: Will Trump show up to the first debate? The man himself admitted that he hasn’t made up his mind yet. Come on, Donald, don’t keep us in suspense! The American people need a strong leader who’s willing to show up and fight for their values.

So there you have it, folks. Trump’s weekend filled with vague answers, potential running mates, and a whole lot of uncertainty. It’s a wild ride, but hey, that’s politics for you. As for who will eventually join Trump on the ticket, only time will tell. Let’s just hope they’re ready to grab the bull by the horns and make America great again, just like Donald did.
