Turns out, dear readers, that this post is as fake as a toupee in a windstorm. The original claim actually started on Twitter, the land of trolls and misinformation. A social media user with the handle @DudeTweetsALot admitted that he made up this whole thing in a subsequent tweet. Talk about being caught with your hand in the cookie jar!
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, let’s dissect the post a bit. First of all, the handle in the post is @TheRealPrez, while Trump’s verified Twitter handle is @realDonaldTrump. Come on, people, can’t we at least get the basics right? And let’s not forget that Trump’s display name on social media is simply Donald J. Trump, not to mention the fact that his official cell phone carrier is definitely not listed as TRUTH! for iPhone 4.0 Pro. I mean, seriously, that’s just laughable.
But here’s where it gets really interesting. Despite the viral nature of this fake post, it seems that Trump himself has been as silent as a mouse on this whole situation. No mention of it on his TRUTH Social profile or his official website. And trust me, folks, if Trump had actually said something like this, the media would’ve been all over it like bees on honey. But no, there are no credible news reports to be found. In fact, good ol’ Reuters published an article specifically labeling this claim as false. Gotta love those fact-checkers, am I right?
So, folks, you heard it here first. Taylor Swift can continue belting out those heartfelt tunes without any interference from ex-President Trump. And for those who think celebrities should just stick to entertaining us, well, I hate to burst your bubble, but they have just as much right to speak their minds as any of us.
