Trump’s Approval Surges Amid Elite Disconnect and Media Missteps

President Donald Trump has clearly caught a wave of popularity, as evidenced by the four-point surge in his job approval rating during what’s humorously dubbed “Tariff Week.” Recent polling from DailyMail.com and J.L. Partners, which surveyed over 1,000 registered voters from March 31 to April 3, shows Trump’s approval climbing from 49 percent to 53 percent. The numbers are nothing short of surprising, highlighting the stark disconnect between the political elite and the average American.

In a particularly eye-opening development, Trump’s approval rating among the vital voting demographic of young adults—those aged 18 to 29—shot up by a staggering 13 points. Meanwhile, Independents and even some Democrats jumped on the Trump bandwagon, with a six-point increase in favorability. Perhaps the most shocking of all: support from black voters jumped a remarkable 17 points in just one week. This level of support denotes a significant turnaround and signals that the “Regime Media’s” attempts to paint Trump as universally unpopular are falling flat.

Interestingly, when citizens were asked about Trump’s tariffs on foreign nations, they favored them by a margin of 39 percent to 37 percent. In a society where concern about illegal immigration continues to grow, a whopping 69 percent supported significantly reducing the number of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. Even on the topic of legal immigration, more than 45 percent expressed a desire for a reduction. These figures suggest that a fundamental shift in public sentiment may be occurring, likely in response to the relentless tide of political correctness and the media’s increasingly transparent agenda.

Despite a stock market slump that occurred shortly thereafter, it seems like the media’s outcry over Trump’s trade policies and an assortment of supposed scandals—which many have dubbed “ridiculous”—has failed to resonate with “Normal People.” Instead, it’s likely that the chorus of outrage has only served to bolster Trump’s approval ratings. The opinion among the masses is that the media is no longer credible and has become a one-note wonder in its efforts to vilify the president. Every heavy-handed attempt to discredit him seems to strengthen his connection with the average American who sees through the smoke and mirrors.

It’s essential to understand that the American public appears more concerned with practical implications than stock market fluctuations. President Trump has positioned himself as a leader who is not only aware of the issues plaguing everyday citizens but also actively engaged in educating the populace about them. Whether discussing tariffs, illegal immigration, or any myriad of contentious topics, he consistently keeps the discussion focused on America’s best interests—the kind of leadership that resonates with voters all across the country. More than just a business-friendly negotiator, Trump has become an educator about the realities of trade and manufacturing, something the elite simply fail to grasp.
