Trump’s bold approach with Russia is once again proving that strength is the language despots understand. When Moscow’s Dmitry Medvedev dared to rattle his sabers, President Trump didn’t flinch. Instead, he swiftly put two nuclear submarines on Russia’s doorstep. This isn’t reckless—this is classic Peace Through Strength, an effective strategy straight from the Reagan playbook.
Let’s face facts: the Kremlin is folding under pressure. Trump sent his submarines into position, and suddenly, Medvedev’s bombastic rhetoric was being backtracked. The message from the Russia security council’s deputy chair was clearly too much, as the Kremlin scrambled to dial it back. Maybe they shouldn’t have taken Biden’s milquetoast playbook for American leadership so seriously. After all, it’s Trump’s firmness that kept Russia from expanding its borders during his first tenure, not appeasement.
Peskov, Putin’s mouthpiece, was quick to emphasize the status quo regarding the subs. Are they trying to pretend nothing changed? Trump has shown that America won’t back down, unlike certain past presidents. The message is clear: any aggression towards U.S. interests will not be tolerated. The Kremlin doesn’t want to escalate. Perhaps they know they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.

If only the leftist chorus would learn from this decisive action. The wishy-washy globalist approach of their beloved “woke” leaders has only emboldened adversaries. Our foreign policy needs a leader who is not afraid to stand firm, a leader who doesn’t give into the anti-American dream of weakening our resolve.
Isn’t it curious how a strong America can achieve more peace than all the feel-good diplomacy of the past decade? Trump showed that sometimes a little backbone is all that’s needed to keep the world in check. Maybe it’s time to remind the world that America still has a spine.
