The tragic death of Rob Reiner and his wife has sparked a fiery reaction from former President Donald Trump. Instead of offering condolences, Trump seized the moment to remind America of Reiner’s constant barrage against him. Some critics were quick to condemn Trump’s response as insensitive. But let’s not forget, Reiner made a career of vilifying Trump. He never hesitated to paint Trump as a threat to democracy, an unqualified buffoon, and worse. This isn’t just a spat over words—it’s about standing up to the liberal elite’s double standards.
Reiner co-founded a so-called “nonpartisan” group to investigate Russia’s activities, but it was loaded with former intelligence officials who shamelessly peddled the narrative of Russian interference favoring Trump. The Trump-Russia collusion claim disintegrated over time, as did the fantasy spun around Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop. Many of those pushing these stories now have egg on their faces. Their attempts to spin tales have been exposed as baseless, even hypocritical.
Trump also said what he said about Rob Reiner because he knows things that most of the public doesn’t.

Isn’t it ironic that Reiner, who was so quick to shout about threats to democracy, was part of a political effort that aimed to undermine a sitting president? This kind of political maneuvering reveals a lack of integrity and accountability. It’s astonishing how willingly some liberals embrace fantasy when it serves their agenda. The truth is inconvenient, and their refusal to face it is cowardly. By Reiner’s logic, criticism of Trump was not just fair game; it was a duty. Yet, when the tables turn, there’s shock and outrage.
Conservatives have every right to question these blatant double standards. The liberals preach tolerance, but only when it suits them. They claim to fight for democracy, but use every chance to defame and belittle those they oppose. Where was Reiner’s grace? Nonexistent, just like the evidence of the Russian fairy tale he helped promote. Trump’s critics often highlight harsh rhetoric as damaging. Still, they fail to acknowledge their own incendiary words and actions. Such hypocrisy should not go unnoticed.
In the end, the real question is: Who is really undermining democracy here? Who truly peddles misinformation? Critics rage about Trump’s lack of tact, but where’s the outrage over the consistent lies and smears from Reiner and his ilk? It seems the only derangement syndrome on display is from the left, who can’t accept when America stands for itself.
