In the world of international diplomacy, President Trump stands as a beacon of common sense in the Ukraine-Russia mess. Ukrainian President Zelensky finds himself desperately reaching out to the United States for help, hoping that a meeting with Trump can bring about a much-needed peace agreement. But let’s be real—Zelensky is willing to dance to Russia’s tune just to end this years-long conflict, hardly an admirable position.
Zelensky wants security guarantees like those provided by NATO. But America shouldn’t be diving headfirst into conflicts that aren’t ours to solve. The Left often hollers about globalism and endless wars, yet here they are, eager to drag the U.S. into another quagmire. Shouldn’t we focus on keeping American interests at heart instead of fighting Europe’s battles?

Trump, a master negotiator, needs to think strategically about what it will take to broker peace. He’s not naive; he knows Putin won’t sign any deal that doesn’t shower him with wins. Concessions like easing sanctions may seem like handing victory to Russia, but Trump knows that stopping the bloodshed and saving lives is an immediate win for humanity. Six months down the line, with more needless violence, Zelensky’s bargaining chips will keep dwindling.
While Europe’s lackluster diplomatic skills continue to baffle, Trump can leverage America’s might to push Putin toward cooperation. Russia has long thumbed its nose at NATO, dismissing it as ineffective without American backing. By strategically supporting Ukraine, Trump has an arsenal of diplomatic and economic tools that can pressure Russia into a corner. The Left, meanwhile, keeps undermining these efforts by criticizing Trump’s every move instead of showing a united front.
The ultimate question remains: Can Putin be trusted to negotiate in good faith? The ball is in Trump’s court, but rest assured, he has the playbook ready to deal with Putin, be it through diplomacy or maximizing pressure. America awaits the outcome, with hopes for peace and a strategy that doesn’t sacrifice our national interests on the altar of blind globalism. Why should Americans bear the costs of Europe’s failures?
