In a shocking turn of events, Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has reported former CIA Director Michael Hayden to the Capitol Police over what he perceives as a threat. It all started when Hayden responded to a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, suggesting that Tuberville should be removed “from the human race.” While some may argue that this was simply a figure of speech, conservative figures and Tuberville himself interpreted it as a call to violence against the senator.

Tuberville wasted no time in condemning Hayden’s remarks, calling them “disgusting” and “repugnant.” He believes that Hayden, with his long career in Washington, should have known that making such a statement would amount to committing a serious crime. Tuberville expressed his faith in the justice system and stated that Hayden should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Not one to miss an opportunity for political jabs, Tuberville also criticized Democrats for their failure to condemn Hayden’s statements. He accused them of attacking him by name and questioned their commitment to democracy. Tuberville believes that the silence from Democrats speaks volumes and believes that the reckless rhetoric against him must stop immediately.
Taking aim at Hayden’s record, Tuberville pointed out the former CIA director’s involvement in what he calls “the biggest failures in the history of American intelligence.” He referenced the September 11 attacks and the lack of Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, suggesting that Hayden was responsible for these shortcomings. Tuberville also accused Hayden of perpetuating the Russia Hoax and lying about Hunter Biden’s laptop, actions that Tuberville claims tore the country apart and damaged the fabric of our republic.
Despite the backlash and Tuberville’s call for action, Hayden stood by his initial remark. He seemed unfazed by the controversy and wished everyone a nice day, including “the intransigent Tommy Tuberville.” This isn’t the first time Hayden has faced accusations of advocating for the death of conservative figures, as he previously implied that former President Donald Trump should be executed for treason.
