Tucker Carlson Detained in Israel Over Huckabee Interview, Allies Target US Journalists

Something fishy is going on when a conservative journalist can’t even travel safely without getting hassled—not by our enemies, but by our so-called “allies.” Tucker Carlson’s trip to Israel should have been a basic reporting assignment. But what happened instead? Israeli airport security singled out his crew, yanked the passports, and dragged his executive producer into a back room. Guess what they wanted to know? They demanded details about his conversation with Mike Huckabee, a former governor and a staunch friend of Israel.

So, are Americans supposed to feel comfortable with allies grilling our press? Is this “democracy” in action—spying on visiting journalists after they meet a conservative leader? Tucker called it bizarre, and he’s right. This is how our “friends” treat us when our media questions the party line. And for what reason? Because they refuse to tolerate real discussion and real facts.

But here’s the kicker. Instead of standing up for freedom of speech and the right to ask hard questions, what do the usual crowd of establishment politicians do? They wave it off. Mike Huckabee, for instance, seemed fine with the whole thing. Sorry, but this isn’t the America First attitude we expect from our elected officials. If it was a CNN crew being pulled aside, you can bet the liberal media would be screaming about fascism and foreign overreach.

The hypocrisy here is glaring. Liberals love to lecture the rest of us about democracy and free speech—until somebody asks tough questions in the wrong country. Then, they’re missing in action, quietly sweeping it under the rug to avoid upsetting their globalist buddies. Global elites everywhere want to keep their secrets, and it looks like they’re happy to use intimidation tactics—no matter which country they’re in.

When real conservatives stand up and ask questions, the world wants to silence them. American journalists should not have to fear interrogation every time they travel. Is this what we signed up for while defending “democracy” overseas? If this is what being an ally looks like, maybe it’s time to start asking who’s really calling the shots.
