In a recent appearance on the All-In podcast, renowned conservative journalist Tucker Carlson expressed his concerns about the 2024 election and the ongoing criminal cases against former President Donald Trump. Interestingly, President Biden was found to be in possession of classified documents dating back to his Senate tenure, despite lacking the necessary presidential declassification authority at the time. However, it seems unlikely that Biden will face any criminal charges for this offense. Carlson quipped that charging Biden for this would be laughable, as storing classified documents in low-security buildings is a commonplace practice. He sarcastically suggested that people were led to believe Biden had committed heinous crimes like murder and alleged he was burying bodies in the Meadowlands.
As Carlson wrapped up his thoughts, he solemnly warned about the dangerous precedent these cases could set. He stressed that political prosecution against a presidential front-runner would be utterly outrageous and stated unequivocally that we can’t afford to repeat history, referring to the prosecution of Richard Nixon. Carlson vehemently believes that if Trump’s prosecution is allowed to proceed, it will signal the unraveling of our entire system. According to him, Trump’s surge in popularity draws from the fundamental injustice and blatant political motives behind these charges.
