The Biden White House has endured a difficult week, and matters are only getting worse. The evidence against them in their alleged bribery scheme is accumulating, and they are unable to refute it. As if to add insult to injury, a judge threw out Hunter Biden's plea agreement, deeming it a perversion of justice. It is evident that the Biden family's corruption is catching up with them.

New emails have revealed that Hunter Biden has engaged in even more unethical behavior. In 2015, he reportedly requested a retainer of $2 million to recover frozen Libyan assets, and Democratic donors considered his proposal due to his access to then-Vice President Joe Biden. This is the type of exchange that the Biden White House fears the most, so it is not surprising that they are attempting to mitigate the damage.

In addition, the Justice Department is conducting an investigation into whether Hunter is a foreign agent. This could be the allegation that brings the Biden presidency to its end. Pardoning Hunter is their "break-the-glass" option, but it would also constitute an unambiguous admission of culpability. They are aware that they are playing a hazardous game.
The breakdown of Hunter Biden's plea agreement has stunned many in Washington. They believed they had resolved the corruption scandal with a slap on the wrist and no prison time. However, Judge Maryellen Noreika had alternative intentions. She asked a simple query, and the entire transaction collapsed. Now that the Justice Department is in a quandary, they may be compelled to treat Hunter as a regular citizen.
If they do, Hunter could be in for some bad tidings. If they treat Hunter with the same aggression as they did with Manafort, he could face years in prison.
However, the Bidens have one possible path out: a pardon. According to legal expert Jonathan Turley, if Joe Biden pardons his son and announces he will not run for reelection, it could be a "happy ending" for all parties involved. The Biden family would be permitted to retain their ill-gotten gains, and the media would no longer be required to conceal their corruption. However, the White House has stated that this scenario is impossible. It appears that the Bidens will likely have to confront the consequences of their actions.
