Asa Hutchinson, the former Arkansas governor, is still in the running for president, and he’s not giving up anytime soon! Despite the fact that his campaign funds are about as tight as a pair of jeans after Thanksgiving dinner, he’s determined to soldier on. With a measly $325,287 in the bank, he’s living the “paycheck to paycheck” dream, just like the rest of us regular Joes.

Although Hutchinson has been about as scarce as a kind word at a political debate, with barely 0.8% support nationally, he’s not throwing in the towel. He’s been focusing his efforts on Iowa and New Hampshire, where he’s pulling in an earth-shattering 0.7% and 0.5% support, respectively.
And get this, folks — he’s planning a “Normal Tour” to tout his “depth of experience” and “new ideas” to strengthen America. Because when you think of a wild and crazy time, you definitely think of “Asa’s Normal Tour.”
Hutchinson’s got big plans to be on TV more in those early states, and he’s crossing his fingers that his donors will cough up the dough to make it happen. Plus, he’s working the phones like a telemarketer on overtime to raise some cold, hard cash.
Hutchinson is convinced that if the Republican field narrows, it’ll only make things easier for former President Trump. According to him, Trump’s numbers went up after a few folks dropped out of the race. So, in Hutchinson’s mind, sticking around actually helps to keep the vote from coalescing around Trump. Or so he hopes.
