Folks, the FBI and ATF have been up to their old tricks once more! According to a report from the Epoch Times (you know, the REAL news), these large government agencies conducted warrantless surveillance of an impoverished Texan who merely wished to sell his firearms on Facebook. How could you trust it?

These two ATF agents actually had the audacity to interview the individual and inquire about his Facebook "advertising" of firearms for sale. The gall! The man, who relishes buying and selling firearms as much as any law-abiding American, stated that he never made a profit from his sales. As a genuine gun enthusiast, he simply enjoyed cycling through them quickly.
The ATF was unable to uncover any evidence of a crime after spying on this innocent man for six months. But do you realize what they did? They provided his information to the FBI regardless. What an excess!
Fortunately, Gun Owners of America (GOA) discovered this injustice and lodged a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to reveal the truth. Eric Olson, their attorney, could not believe what he saw when he obtained the records. He stated, "I kept waiting for ATF to identify something illegal, but they never did."
But here's the truth, folks: it is not illegal to sell firearms on Facebook. Facebook prohibits it, but that does not make it illegal. Olson noted that millions of enthusiasts regularly sell portions of their personal collections. However, the ATF apparently dislikes people who give up their firearms too soon. What a collection of control fanatics!
Although I'm not a legal expert (although I did almost pass my fourth-grade civics class), it comes out that the man's actions do not violate any laws. The Gun Control Act of 1968 expressly permits individuals to make occasional transactions for the purpose of enhancing their personal collection or as a hobby. So, there it is, gentlemen. Case resolved. The ATF and FBI must step back and allow this man to enjoy his firearms in tranquility. Let liberation ring!
