The federal government’s latest mishap is yet another example of how the left’s obsession with race continues to undermine the very foundation of fairness and equality in America. Recent reports reveal that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is still discriminating against white farmers, a shocking but not surprising continuation of the Biden administration’s divisive policies. While the new USDA Secretary, Brooke Rollins, has taken steps to reduce some of the agency’s favoritism based on identity politics, it’s clear more action is needed.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) is stepping up to hold Rollins accountable. This civil rights watchdog is threatening legal action due to whistleblower claims that the USDA has favored loans and relief based on race. Can you believe that in 2023, we are still talking about government-sanctioned discrimination in the name of equity? It’s a slap in the face to every hardworking American who believes in meritocracy over mediocrity.

The previous administration understood the dangers of these divisive policies and pushed back against the rampant growth of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) madness. Now, as the dust settles, the Biden administration has left behind a toxic legacy of bias in federal programs. It’s infuriating that we must witness farmers being overlooked solely because of their skin color while the USDA continues to peddle the false narrative that equity means giving preference to some groups over others. This is not justice; it’s injustice disguised as virtue.
What is the point of a government agency if it cannot serve all its constituents fairly? We expect the USDA to promote farming and agriculture for ALL Americans—not just those that fit a specific demographic. The fact that they would prioritize loan relief based on race illustrates a severe lapse in judgment and a blatant disregard for equal opportunity. This is classic leftist hypocrisy—preaching equality while actively eroding it. It’s a twisted ideology that fuels division rather than healing, creating an environment where certain Americans are perpetually treated as second-class citizens.
The conservative movement stands firm on one principle: every American deserves a fair shot, no matter their background. The USDA’s actions are a violation of that principle and an affront to the hardworking farmers who dedicate their lives to producing the food that feeds this nation. It’s time to challenge this insidious practice head-on and demand accountability from our government. Is it too much to ask for a level playing field?
Every American should be outraged by this blatant discrimination, and we must rally behind efforts to eliminate these unjust practices. Our farmers deserve better than to be pawns in a game of identity politics. As legal battles loom, we must ask ourselves how much longer we will tolerate a government that discriminates based on race. Will the USDA finally take a stand for equality, or will it continue down this destructive path?
