Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio has recently taken a swing at Vice President Kamala Harris, calling out her record as she prepares to take a shot at the presidency. Vance didn’t hold back, declaring that President Joe Biden is “the worst President in my lifetime” and that Harris has been his loyal sidekick throughout this disastrous tenure. According to Vance, Harris can’t escape the blame for the administration’s disastrous open border policies and its costly Green New Deal fantasies, both of which have left middle-class Americans facing soaring prices for housing and groceries. If they had shared the White House, they’d likely have shared a one-way ticket out of it come the next election.
As if the political theater was missing a dramatic twist, Biden recently bowed to the demands of the Democratic establishment to step aside for his Vice President. In a move seen as a plot twist that only Hollywood could dream up, he promptly endorsed Harris to take his place. Harris was quick to fawn over the support, pledging to “earn and win this nomination.” However, one must wonder if she can sell herself to the American public when her record is the very anchor dragging them down. The chances of Harris effectively distancing herself from Biden’s blunders seem less than convincing, given she has been intimately involved in every faux pas made during his presidency.

The clash between Vance and Harris has been simmering for some time, resembling a political heavyweight match with a lot of flailing and flapping. Harris recently took a jab at Vance during a North Carolina rally, stating he cleverly avoided discussing Project 2025, the GOP’s ambitious agenda for a Trump II term. Of course, when it comes to wearing the label of “extremist” and “divisive,” it appears Harris has become a master of projection. After all, the extreme policies she champions have largely been responsible for the economic mess that Americans now face daily.
Vance’s rags-to-riches backstory, which he often touts on the campaign trail, paints him as an American dream success story. From a tough upbringing to serving in the Marine Corps and later hitting it big in Silicon Valley, he isn’t one to shy away from showcasing his hard-earned resume. Harris, on the other hand, appears to be more skilled at collecting government paychecks rather than any evidence of having built something meaningful or contributed positively to anything other than identity politics.
At a campaign rally in Michigan, Vance doubled down on his attack against Harris, responding to her criticism with a blunt retort that highlighted his military service and entrepreneurial achievements. For someone who has seemingly dedicated her time to government service, one must inevitably ask, what exactly has Kamala Harris built-in contrast? When it comes to loyalty to the country, it seems Vance’s military service answers that question without needing any further explanation, while Harris may still be searching for her own meaningful contribution. With candidates like these battling for the Democratic side, it’s clear there will be no shortage of fiery exchanges leading up to the next election.
