It’s about time we had a serious conversation about priorities. Every June, the nation is awash in rainbow flags and corporations bending over backward to show how "inclusive" they are for Pride Month. But what about our veterans? The brave men and women who risk their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy daily? Shouldn't they get more than just a day or the occasional parade?
The Real Heroes Deserve More
Veterans Day and Memorial Day are great, but they’re simply not enough. Our veterans have sacrificed so much, yet they get overshadowed by a month dedicated to celebrating sexual orientation and gender identity. It’s time to shift the focus back to the real heroes. Imagine an entire month dedicated to honoring our veterans, their stories, their struggles, and their victories. Parades, events, educational programs—an entire month to remind everyone of the true cost of freedom.
The Irony of “Equality”
We hear a lot about equality and fairness these days. But where's the fairness in giving a whole month to a group defined by sexual preferences while those who have defended our nation get mere days? Our veterans fought for the freedom to celebrate, to protest, to live as we choose. They deserve recognition that reflects their monumental contribution to our society.
A Call to Action
It’s time to demand a shift in priorities. Let’s start a movement to establish Veterans Month. A month where we come together as a nation to thank those who have given us everything. Because honoring our veterans isn’t just about the past; it’s about teaching future generations the true meaning of service, sacrifice, and patriotism.
