Alright, folks, buckle up, because C. Douglas Golden’s got some strong opinions about the shenanigans over at “The View.” Let’s dive in and see what all the hubbub is about.
It seems that some of the ladies over at “The View” are sticking to their guns when it comes to their support of keeping the kiddos out of school during the ol’ Rona epidemic. Even though it was crystal clear that the little tykes were about as likely to catch COVID as they were to sprout wings and fly, the schools stayed closed, and distance learning became the new norm. As if spending too much time on social media wasn’t already turning our kiddos into mental messes.

But, hey, who cares about the truth when good intentions are in play, right? That’s the vibe coming from “The View,” at least. They had Dr. Phil (yeah, that guy from that show, but not the show that ended last year) on to chat about the effects of social media on our wee ones. Dr. Phil dropped some truth bombs about how smartphones and social media have been wrecking our kids’ mental health for years. Not to mention, the mishandling of the whole COVID situation has shafted our little ones even more.
Well, Dr. Phil wasn’t having it, and the ladies of “The View” definitely didn’t want to entertain the idea that maybe they messed up. They tried to throw the whole “we were just trying to save lives” excuse at Dr. Phil, but he shot it down faster than a clay pigeon.
The bottom line? Kids were safer from COVID than they were from a bunch of other daily dangers. But the teachers unions and their mask-wearing minions kept the schools shut down and pushed for distance learning. As if it wasn’t already a dumpster fire. It’s no wonder the academic achievement of our youth has gone down the drain and social media has managed to make them even more isolated and messed up mentally.
The takes on “The View” might be as skewed as a funhouse mirror, but the truth remains: They messed up. Big time.
