Uh-oh, it looks like Governor Ron DeSantis might be facing some challenges in his bid for the presidency. A recent poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena College found that the majority of Republican voters are not interested in a presidential candidate who goes to war against “woke” ideology. Ouch! Only 24% of voters said they would support a candidate who focuses on defeating “woke” ideology in schools, media, and culture. On the other hand, a whopping 65% prefer someone who prioritizes restoring law and order in our streets and at the border. Looks like Governor DeSantis might need to reassess his campaign strategy if he wants to have a shot in 2024.
It’s no secret that DeSantis has been a vocal opponent of “wokeism” in Florida. He’s made a name for himself by pushing legislation, like the Stop WOKE Act, that aims to dismantle this ideology in schools and corporations. He even took on Disney after the company opposed a bill that protects parental rights in education. But despite his efforts, it seems like Republican voters have other issues on their minds.

Now, DeSantis finds himself struggling to connect with Republican voters. It’s gotten so bad that he’s had to pivot his campaign strategy in order to compete with none other than former President Donald Trump. Talk about a tough crowd! We’ll have to wait and see if DeSantis can win over voters in the upcoming Republican primary debates. Until then, it’s back to the drawing board for the Florida governor. Better luck next time, Governor DeSantis!
