VP Harris Attacks Trump Amid Hurricanes, Questions Priorities

It seems that the Vice President is on another campaign to hurl accusations, this time at former President Donald Trump, whom she called “incredibly irresponsible.” That sounds like the title of a poorly written soap opera, but alas, it’s just Kamala doing what she does best: deflecting blame while attempting to look busy. With Hurricane Helene wreaking havoc and another storm, Hurricane Milton, threatening Florida, Harris has decided now is the perfect time to stir the pot as Election Day approaches.

The Vice President took a moment out of her busy schedule to criticize Trump for allegedly spreading misinformation regarding the federal government’s response to the disasters—because when it comes to misinformation, she surely has a clean slate. Of course, Harris insists that the feds have resources aplenty for the survivors of Hurricane Helene. One might think that as the storm destroyed homes and claimed lives across six states, she could have found a few more important things to address than Trump’s comments. But that would imply priorities, and in the world of Democrat politics, that’s a foreign concept.

As for the claim that the federal government is withholding aid from Republican disaster victims, Hilarious Harris hardly minced her words. She claimed that FEMA had an abundance of resources just waiting for those who needed them. How reassuring! One only hopes this fairy tale holds up when the survivors try to cut through the bureaucratic red tape while Harris continues to dabble in political name-calling. After all, it would be a shame if survivors end up on hold longer than an average call to their cable provider.

Harris didn’t stop there; she turned her sights on Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis, throwing around accusations of “political gamesmanship” as if she’s in a high school debate. Always the charmer, she suggested that during times of crisis, it’s selfish to engage in politics. This coming from an administration that thrives on leveraging tragedy for political gain. It seems the Vice President forgot about the age-old adage: “People in glass houses should not throw stones.” Or perhaps she thinks it’s beneath her to apply such trivial wisdom.

In a curious twist, DeSantis indicated he hadn’t even received a call from Harris, throwing her claims under the bus faster than a bad joke at a family reunion. Her office might want to get their ducks in a row before making sweeping statements about reaching out. Harris went on to insist that the priority should be putting the people first instead of playing political games, leaving many to wonder when exactly that philosophy will filter down to her administration. The audience eagerly awaits the day when Harris and her buddies practice what they preach rather than just delivering theater with an abundance of drama. After all, when it rains, it pours, but in the world of political commentary, it looks like Harris is just hoping to keep the spotlight on her own antics.
