Florida Representative Mike Waltz has had just about enough of the Democratic Party’s delusions regarding the so-called successes of the Biden-Harris administration. The Green Beret turned Congressman did not hold back in his criticism, categorizing the decision-making during the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal as not just poor but downright idiotic and asinine. With the recent anniversary of that chaotic withdrawal, he took to Trump Tower in Chicago, using the spotlight to call out the administration for its failures that resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members and left more than a thousand U.S. civilians trapped under Taliban rule.
Stating the unvarnished truth in a time when the Democrats are celebrating their version of reality, Waltz made it clear that the American people are not fooled. The memories of the disgraceful withdrawal are fresh, and he highlighted the stark contrast between how a successful military operation should be conducted and how the situation in Afghanistan was handled. It is one thing to experience casualties in battle, but to lose lives due to incompetence is a stain on the nation that cannot be glossed over. The indifference shown by the Biden administration in the wake of their failures is what Waltz believes the Democrats should be held accountable for.

This ongoing crisis, juxtaposed with the billions of taxpayer dollars being sent to these aggressors, highlights an alarming disconnect in the administration’s priorities. Waltz’s press conference served as a stark reminder that funding an organization while it holds American citizens captive is not just misguided; it’s a reckless endorsement of incompetence.
As the Democratic National Convention marches on in its insular world of narratives and spin, Waltz’s remarks serve as a critical reminder that the fallout from the Afghanistan debacle is far from being resolved. Terrorism is once again on the rise in Afghanistan, with Al-Qaeda and ISIS reclaiming lost ground and establishing training facilities.
