New information from a whistleblower has revealed that the FBI was up to some questionable antics back in 2015, right after Donald Trump announced his presidential campaign. This covert operation, reportedly ordered by the infamous James Comey, was conducted under the radar and not documented, evoking memories of the infamous Crossfire Hurricane scandal. Who knew that the FBI had more secret operations than a spy movie?
The whistleblower’s report suggests that the FBI not only operated with a lack of transparency but also went so far as to lie to the Justice Department’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz, intentionally keeping this whole operation “off-the-books.” It certainly doesn’t inspire confidence when the FBI treats presidential campaigns like a secret mission gone wrong.
Adding to the absurdity, The Bureau brought in two female undercover agents, referred to as “honeypots,” to infiltrate the Trump campaign. One can only imagine the brainstorming sessions that led to this decision—did they really think this was the best way to get Intel? The whole operation sounds like a bad plot twist—if the FBI was supposed to be the good guys, they certainly missed the memo on appropriate conduct.

The operation came to an abrupt end when a newspaper caught wind of one of these undercover agents and exposed the situation, leading the FBI to clumsily spin a tale about that agent being a life-risking informant. This level of incompetence raises more eyebrows than a bad stand-up comedy routine.
Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker didn’t hold back in assessing the fallout from these revelations. He pointed out that if the accusations are valid, they represent a monumental breach of FBI protocols. With investigators failing to uncover any actual Trump-Russia collusion in the aforementioned Crossfire Hurricane investigation, questions surrounding institutional bias at the FBI have become even more pressing. The House Judiciary Committee is now lacing up its investigative boots to dig deeper into this mess.
If nothing else, it’s clear that the FBI’s antics could provide material for a new thriller, complete with government intrigue and ridiculous plots. Conservative Americans see this as just another chapter in the ongoing saga of political bias, and many are left wondering how much longer the FBI can continue to pretend it’s above reproach while behaving as if it’s run by characters from a Hollywood screenplay.
