The White House is not happy with House Republicans. They issued a veto threat against one of their funding bills for the next fiscal year. President Joe Biden already signed a bill to keep the government open, but that didn’t solve the bigger problem of Democrats and Republicans disagreeing on spending levels. Speaker Kevin McCarthy is going against what he previously agreed upon with Biden, and the White House is not mincing words about it.

In a statement, the White House criticized House Republicans for wasting time with partisan bills that would lead to deep cuts in important services for Americans. They specifically mentioned clean energy programs, nutrition services, law enforcement, consumer safety, education, and healthcare as areas that would be affected. The White House is not happy with how the energy and water development funding bill includes cuts to clean energy initiatives and investments in rural America. They also pointed out that some sections of the bill may be unconstitutional.
