In a shocking twist, a White House official has categorically denied reports of tension between the Biden administration’s top spokespeople, Karine Jean-Pierre and John Kirby. These two have been sharing the podium since May, splitting the responsibilities of dealing with the media between foreign and domestic matters. But according to the leftist Axios, their relationship is “fraught with tension,” with sources inside the administration claiming that the press secretary job is effectively being divided between the two.
However, the White House official, who obviously knows everything that goes on behind closed doors, has come out to set the record straight. They claim that there is no tension between the two spokespeople, that they talk all the time, and have a “collegial and collaborative rapport.” Nothing to see here, folks!
Now, it’s no secret that John Kirby has been quite active, especially since the difficult situation in October. He’s been hogging the spotlight at press briefings and is even rumored to have expressed his desire to become the press secretary himself. It seems like he just can’t get enough of the limelight!

Since she took on the job, she’s faced criticism for using the Hatch Act as an excuse to dodge questions and has clashed with reporters, refusing to call on those she deems too disruptive.
