The White House’s new initiative to fight Islamophobia while ignoring the threats faced by Jewish Americans is a prime example of tone-deafness. Instead of addressing the very real concerns of Jews feeling unsafe and targeted, the White House has chosen to focus on a problem that is not nearly as prevalent. It’s like trying to put out a fire in your living room while the rest of the house is burning down around you.
I really want to know how many Muslim students on ANY U.S. campus are being threatened or attacked for being Muslim. Random attacks on the street? Any?
White House Ignores Threats to Jewish Americans, Vows to Fight 'Scourge' of Islamophobia Instead https://t.co/qYbCAK3gXK

The data is clear: Jews are the primary target of religiously motivated hate crimes in the United States. Yet, the White House is pushing the narrative that Muslims are the ones who are disproportionately targeted. This is simply not true. According to the FBI, in 2022, over 50 percent of religiously motivated hate crimes were committed against Jews, while less than 10 percent were anti-Muslim in nature.
The timing of this announcement is especially alarming. Jewish students are being attacked and harassed on college campuses, and yet the White House thinks now is the time to tackle Islamophobia? It’s a clear dereliction of duty and shows a complete lack of understanding of the real issues at hand.
Instead of focusing on the very real threats facing Jewish Americans, the White House is choosing to fight the wrong fight. It’s like bringing a water gun to a blazing inferno. The Biden administration needs to prioritize the safety and security of all Americans, including Jews, and stop ignoring the very real antisemitism that is spreading like wildfire.
