During a fiery discussion about the recent Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action, Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears didn’t hold back from calling out Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson for what she sees as a diversity hire. And let’s face it, folks, it’s about time someone said it!

In an interview with the one and only Fox News, Sears didn’t hesitate to address Jackson’s dissent, which was read out by the ever-so-charming Martha MacCallum. Now, folks, brace yourselves for some serious ivory tower language, but I’ll break it down for you in a language we can all understand.

Jackson’s dissent basically said, “Hey, the majority is being all high and mighty, talking about colorblindness and stuff, but that doesn’t mean racism magically disappears in real life.” And let me tell you, folks, she wasn’t happy about it. Neither was Justice Sotomayor, who claimed this decision went against what America really wants. Well, excuse me, but does Hollywood get to write our laws now?
But here’s the kicker, folks – Sears went straight for the jugular. She had the audacity to say that Justice Jackson was only appointed because of her race and gender! Yikes! And you know what, folks? She might just be onto something! It seems like these days, diversity quotas and political correctness are more important to some people than actual qualifications. What a crazy world we live in!
And while the liberal elites are busy playing their silly identity politics game, Sears wants to remind them of an actual crisis happening right under their noses. You see, folks, education in America is in shambles. Our children are falling behind, and it’s not because of affirmative action or lack thereof. No, sir! It’s because China, Russia, and the rest of those sneaky countries are playing the long game while we’re here arguing about who gets into college.
Sears knows that we need to focus on the real issues. Our kids are graduating high school but still need remedial education in college? That’s a disgrace, folks! And you know who’s paying for it? That’s right, you and me. Our hard-earned tax dollars are going towards loans for kids who should have learned this stuff in high school. It’s time to put our foot down and demand real solutions.
So, what’s Sears’s remedy to this mess? Drumroll, please… SCHOOL CHOICE! That’s right, folks. She believes in giving parents the power to choose the best education for their kids. It’s time to break free from the failing public school system and give families the chance to thrive.
