The mainstream media is at it again, trying to hide the real reasons why Bud Light is no longer the top selling beer in America. The Washington Post recently published an article sharing yet another ridiculous explanation as to why Modelo Especial is the new king of beers. According to the Post, the consulting firm Bump Williams claims that Modelo Especial was already on track to beat Bud Light by 2030. Seriously, who believes that?

As true patriots know, the big reason for Bud Light’s downfall was the boycott that came after they partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Many Americans refuse to buy products from companies that force this kind of woke agenda on us. And that’s exactly what happened to Bud Light. In just four weeks, Modelo Especial managed to overtake Bud Light’s sales share, with 8.6 percent compared to Bud Light’s 7.6 percent. This is a significant change from the four weeks leading up to March 25, where Bud Light claimed 10 percent of sales compared to Modelo’s 7.7 percent.

The funny thing is, the Post admits that broad market trends were favoring Modelo even before the Mulvaney controversy. Maybe that’s because expanding the customer base for U.S. domestic beer continues to be a struggle for brewers. But that doesn’t change the fact that the boycott hit Bud Light hard. And let’s not forget about Cinco de Mayo. Williams from the consulting firm claims that holiday-timed executions can lead to some lift in sales. But the fact is, Modelo continues to perform well after Cinco de Mayo because it has been on a steady rise for a long stretch now.

It’s infuriating to see the mainstream media try to downplay the impact of the boycott on Bud Light’s sales. It’s clear that Americans are fed up with companies pushing their woke agendas on us. We just want to enjoy a cold beer without having politics shoved down our throats. The bottom line is, Bud Light made a huge mistake when they partnered with Mulvaney. They lost the trust and loyalty of many consumers, and now they’re paying the price. It’s time for companies to start listening to their customers and stop trying to force their own political beliefs on us.
