It’s a sad day for literature when the woke brigade starts messing with our beloved classics. These self-proclaimed guardians of political correctness want to rewrite historical works to fit their delicate sensibilities. Can you believe it? They even went after Roald Dahl’s children’s books, making hundreds of changes. I guess they can’t handle a little whimsy and imagination.
But it didn’t stop there. They also decided to sanitize Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels and rework Agatha Christie’s mysteries to remove any offensive language. Seriously, are we supposed to believe that these authors, who lived in a completely different time, should conform to the hypersensitivities of today? It’s ridiculous!
And now they’re coming for Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit. Apparently, they think a little bunny hopping around a garden is cultural appropriation. Give me a break! These woke warriors have lost touch with reality.
Now, I believe in the freedom of authors to revisit their own work if they choose to. But when the woke mob starts trying to erase the original versions and force their narrative on the rest of us, that’s where I draw the line. Our literary past is under assault, and it’s time to fight back.
Buying old books is now a political act, my friends. We must preserve the originals and show these woke warriors that we won’t let them erase our history. If they want to distort our past, we’ll set it straight again.

But beware, the sensitivity police may soon come knocking on our doors, demanding to audit the content of our bookshelves. It may sound far-fetched, but in Michigan, they’ve already passed a law that restricts speech that can “hurt someone’s feelings.” Who’s to say they won’t deem books that “hurt someone’s feelings” illegal next? We can’t let that happen.
This goes beyond just changing literature. It’s an attack on civilization itself. The written word carries knowledge, perspective, and insight into our past, present, and future. When we start imposing modern sensibilities on historical works, we endanger the intellectual growth of society. We must stand against this woke madness.
So, my fellow book lovers, buy books and preserve them. Don’t let the woke mob dictate what we can read and enjoy. Let’s hold onto our literary treasures and show the world that we won’t be silenced.
