America is facing a crisis that should terrify every patriotic citizen. A shocking new poll shows that six out of ten young Americans now support socialism. That means millions of our kids think the failed system that destroyed Venezuela and starved millions in communist countries is somehow good for America.
These numbers are not just disappointing, they are dangerous. Over 30 million young people between 18 and 29 now favor socialism over the free market system that made America the greatest nation on earth. Even worse, about 18 million of them actually support communism, the evil ideology that killed 100 million people worldwide.
Look what just happened in New York City. A self-proclaimed socialist named Zohran Mamdani crushed Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary for mayor. This radical wants the government to run grocery stores and freeze rents. Young, wealthy voters put him over the top because they think socialism sounds cool and fair.
Our schools and universities have completely failed these kids. Instead of teaching them about American freedom and capitalism, liberal professors have filled their heads with Marxist garbage. These students can barely define socialism, but they hate capitalism because their teachers told them it is evil and unfair.
Social media makes everything worse. Young people see flashy videos promising free everything under socialism. They do not learn about the bread lines, the secret police, or the millions who died trying to escape socialist countries. They only hear the lies about how socialism will solve inequality.
The good news is that most Americans still support capitalism when they understand what it really means. Fifty-nine percent of all people in the poll favor our free market system. The problem is that young people have been lied to about what capitalism actually does for working families.
We cannot give up on these confused young Americans. Many of them want jobs, homes, and families just like their parents did. They just do not understand that socialism destroys those dreams while capitalism creates them. We need to show them the truth about how free markets lift people out of poverty.
Time is running out to save our country from this socialist poison. If we do not act now to educate young Americans about the horrors of socialism, they will vote away the freedoms our founders died to give us. We must fight back before it is too late.
