With less than a year to go until the 2024 election, it seems that young voters aren’t as excited as they once were. According to a new survey from Harvard, the enthusiasm among 18-to-29-year-olds has taken a nosedive since the fall of 2019. And you know what that means, folks? The Democrats are losing their grip on the youth vote!
The survey reveals that the number of young Americans in this age group who “definitely” plan to vote has dropped from a whopping 57 percent to a meager 49 percent compared to the same point in the 2020 election cycle. Talk about a lack of motivation! It’s clear that these young folks are starting to see through the empty promises and socialist agenda pushed by the left.
Biden has a solid lead with young voters in the latest Harvard IOP poll. But…
Biden fares much worse when third-party candidates are included. And young voters appear less likely to vote in 2024. https://t.co/a3ssWsulqx pic.twitter.com/44gjsh4naX

But it’s not just the overall enthusiasm that’s taken a hit. Republican and independent/unaffiliated voters have seen larger declines in their voting intention compared to their Democratic counterparts. The decline among Republicans is particularly alarming, with a drop from 66 percent to 56 percent since fall 2019. It seems that even young people are starting to understand the importance of a strong conservative voice in our government.
And let’s not forget about the racial breakdown. Young black Americans and Hispanic Americans have seen significant drops in their voting intention, with 38 percent and 40 percent respectively, compared to 50 percent and 56 percent in 2019. This shows that the Democrats’ divisive identity politics and empty promises aren’t resonating with everyone.
Now, here’s the icing on the cake. The same survey shows that President Biden is leading former President Trump in a hypothetical matchup among young registered voters. But here’s the kicker – a majority of the young Biden supporters admitted that their vote was driven by “opposition to Donald Trump” rather than actual support for Biden and his policies. It’s clear that the left is relying on fearmongering and demonizing their opponents rather than presenting any real solutions.
And when third-party candidates enter the scene, Biden’s support starts to crumble. With independent candidates factored in, Biden’s lead shrinks to just four points among all young Americans. When it comes to registered voters under 30, Biden only leads by eight points. And among likely voters, his lead dwindles to a mere 16 points. It looks like more young people are starting to see through Biden’s empty rhetoric and recognize that he’s not the savior he claimed to be.
So, while the mainstream media might try to spin this as a temporary blip, the reality is clear. President Biden and the Democratic Party are losing their grip on the youth vote. The decline in enthusiasm among young voters is a sign that they are waking up to the dangers of socialism and big government. It’s time for a new generation of conservative leaders to rise up and take back our country from the liberal agenda.
