Even the FBI has tried to thread the needle, describing ANTIFA as more of a “movement or ideology” than a hierarchical group — language that some interpret as a legal nicety while others see it as bureaucratic hair-splitting. The larger point is political and moral: when powerful institutions and polite pundits rebrand political violence as mere “ideas,” they normalize lawlessness and tie the hands of those who would restore order. Conservatives like Brooks are demanding clarity — and action — because freedom and safety don’t survive on euphemisms; they survive when leaders call out evil by its name and hold perpetrators to account.
Hardworking Americans deserve media and officials who tell the truth plainly and who defend their neighborhoods, businesses, and families instead of making excuses for mobs. If the left insists on sheltering ANTIFA under the cloak of abstraction, patriots will keep shining a light on the truth and pushing for law-and-order solutions that put citizens first.
