AOC Faces Backlash From Far Left at Pro-Palestine Rally

A member of the infamous “Squad” found herself in hot water, of all places, for not being leftist enough. The fiery Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) came under fire from fellow Democrats for apparently not meeting some unspoken far-left criteria.

The drama unfolded at a rally in support of U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), who is also part of the “Squad” club. It seems that Bowman, despite his Squad membership, may not be safe from the chopping block in the next election.

During the rally, Bowman spurred controversy with his incendiary language, proclaiming the power of the people in a rather colorful manner and riling up the crowd with calls for action. It was a chaotic scene, with noises and slogans flying around.

Adding fuel to the fire, both Ocasio-Cortez and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) lent their voices to the anti-Israel sentiment at the event. They joined the chorus of support for Palestine following the recent conflicts in the region.

But the real twist came from outside the rally, where protesters criticized Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders for not being sufficiently pro-Palestine. The group Within Our Lifetime led the charge, labeling the politicians as “sellouts” for not aligning with their extreme views.

Despite the visible dissent, Ocasio-Cortez, Sanders, and their allies appeared to ignore the protests, fueling further speculation about their stances on the Israel-Palestine conflict. It’s a bizarre situation when even the most left-leaning politicians face backlash for not being left enough. This episode sheds light on the deeply polarized landscape of American politics.
