Once again, the new administration is actively advancing its progressive agenda. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under President Joe Biden is currently providing generous grants, amounting to a staggering $1.7 million, to organizations that advocate for the acceptance of LGBT youth through counseling and family support, all under the guise of ‘preventative health.’ It is truly disheartening that taxpayer funds are being misappropriated to endorse this controversial cause.

This initiative is being presented as a means of averting health and behavioral risks faced by LGBT youth, including suicide, depression, homelessness, substance abuse, and HIV. The program is cleverly packaged as a grant that aims to diminish the rejection experienced by LGBT youth from their families and caregivers, while enhancing family acceptance through the provision of counseling services. In order to receive funding, grant recipients are also required to promote family support via public communication, social media marketing, and the referral of youth from this demographic to family counseling programs.
Several advocates for transgender rights assert that transgender youth face health issues, especially an elevated risk of suicide. However, this claim is often utilized to legitimize and advocate for gender affirmation, a process in which families and medical professionals accept the transgender identification of youths and assist them in presenting as the opposite sex through medical interventions such as hormone therapy and surgeries.
The media with liberal leanings consistently promote their own agenda and disregard factual information in order to advance their leftist objectives. Hence, it is unsurprising that grant recipients might also collaborate with education and child welfare services to produce propaganda aimed at discouraging the rejection of LGBT identities within families.
Now is the moment to make a firm stand and express your viewpoint against the detrimental choices made by the Biden administration, decisions that directly impact us as taxpayers and our children. SAMHSA, unfortunately, has not promptly addressed the request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. It is high time that they are held responsible for their actions, actions that contradict the core values of this remarkable nation.
