In a shocking move, Dollar Tree Inc. has announced its plans to close over 900 of its Family Dollar locations and several of its Dollar Tree stores. The bargain retail giant revealed that the closure decision stems from a previous statement about scrutinizing the performance of Family Dollar stores. The company plans to shut down 600 of these locations within the first half of its fiscal year, with an additional 370 Family Dollar stores and 30 Dollar Tree stores to follow suit in the coming years.
This decision comes after Dollar Tree Inc. made headlines in November of 2021 for bumping up its prices from $1 to $1.25. The company insisted that this had nothing to do with inflation, but rather was an effort to reintroduce products that were previously removed due to the devaluation of the U.S. dollar over time. Clearly, it seems that these price hikes and store closures are sending a strong message about the state of our economy.

It’s no wonder that Dollar Tree Inc. is making these drastic moves – it’s all because of the left’s failed economic policies! Family Dollar and Dollar Tree stores are feeling the pressure from the Biden administration’s reckless spending and inflation. It’s time for the radical left to face the music and take responsibility for the disastrous impact they’ve had on American businesses.
The Washington Examiner attempted to reach out to Dollar Tree Inc. for further comment on this matter. But let’s be real, with the mess the left has made of our economy, it’s no surprise they’re keeping their lips sealed tighter than a jar of pickles. The American people deserve better, and it’s time for a change that puts the economy back on track with conservative principles!
