In a shocking and divisive move, the Biden administration has caused a stir among the American people by issuing a proclamation that declared Easter Sunday as “Transgender Day of Visibility.” This decision has enraged all but the most radically left-wing corners of the internet, prompting swift and justified criticism from Republican leaders.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) rightfully condemned the administration’s proclamation, denouncing it as an affront to sacred truth and tradition. The American people are taking note of this outrageous and abhorrent action, as they rightfully should be.
Despite the White House’s attempts to defend its proclamation by pointing out that Trans Day of Visibility has been celebrated since 2009, it is evident to anyone with a basic understanding of politics that a competent administration would have chosen a different day for such a celebration, out of respect for the holiest day in the Christian calendar. Unfortunately, the Biden administration has proven itself to be anything but normal in its decision-making.
When questioned about the proclamation, President Biden attempted to deflect blame by claiming he had no part in it and suggested that House Speaker Johnson was “thoroughly uninformed.” However, given the president’s evident cognitive decline, it is not unreasonable to believe that he may not be fully aware of the actions taken by his own staff. It is increasingly clear that the administration is being led by ideological young individuals who prioritize trendy social media movements over the beliefs and values of the American people.
Furthermore, the appointment of Rachel Levine as assistant secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services suggests that the administration’s priorities are not based on qualifications, but rather on promoting a superficial image of diversity. This is particularly concerning as the middle class continues to suffer from the detrimental effects of inflation.
In light of these alarming developments, it is clear that President Biden needs to either acknowledge his own ideological agenda or acknowledge his inability to lead and allow someone else to take charge. The future of the country hangs in the balance, and it is imperative that leadership is entrusted to someone who prioritizes the values and wellbeing of the American people.
