In a recent development that has got conservative heads spinning faster than a tilt-a-whirl at the county fair, President Joe Biden seems to have left Israel hanging like a pair of old socks on a phone call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The leader of the free world apparently told Netanyahu that an “immediate ceasefire is essential” in Israel’s ongoing battle against the terrorist group Hamas. Now, hold on to your cowboy hats, folks, because Biden also apparently said that U.S. policy towards Gaza will be based on how quickly Israel acts on these demands. Talk about throwing your best buddy under the bus, yikes!

Now, let’s break it down like a bear breaking into a honey jar. Biden reportedly got all riled up about the deaths of World Central Kitchen workers, claiming it was a deliberate hit on aid workers. But hold your horses, Mr. President, because Netanyahu insisted it was all just a big misunderstanding and that they would investigate the incident thoroughly. And Biden had the audacity to lecture Netanyahu about empowering his negotiators to bring hostages home. Well, guess what, Joe? Netanyahu’s team has been doing their darndest, but it’s hard to negotiate when your so-called ally is more concerned with political posturing than actually helping out.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Biden and Netanyahu also chewed the fat about Iran’s threats to Israel. Reports say that Iran was trying to sneak weapons to Hamas, and Biden decided to play the hero by saying the U.S. “strongly supports Israel.” But come on now, actions speak louder than words, and frankly, the U.S.’s version of support has been about as sturdy as a house of cards in a windstorm.
Overall, it seems like Biden is more interested in playing the blame game and flexing his diplomatic muscles than actually standing strong with our allies. This whole situation has conservative circles scratching their heads and wondering if Biden’s foreign policy playbook got lost in the mail. Let’s hope Uncle Joe finds his way back to the right side of history before things go from bad to worse.
