Biden Parole Program Turmoil Creates Opportunities for Trafficking and Fraud

The Biden administration’s “parole” program, which was meant to ease the burden of illegal immigration, has instead opened the floodgates to a whole new world of chaos, including the possibility of sex trafficking. The House Judiciary Committee’s recent report shines a light on glaring holes in what was supposed to be a responsible initiative. However, it seems that when it comes to safeguarding American interests, the Biden-Harris team is more focused on appeasing political correctness than actual enforcement.

The shocking findings reveal an alarming trend: individuals involved with welfare fraud, criminal activities, and even other illegal immigrants have been cleared to sponsor their fellow compatriots from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. What’s even more comical is that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has admitted it lacks the tools to perform background checks on these sponsors. Yes, you read that right; the same agency tasked with securing the borders is too bureaucratically challenged to screen for criminal backgrounds.

Supporters of the program might have thought the requirement for U.S.-based sponsors would deter the miscreants, but it appears the charm of free immigration overrides any responsibility. A mere investigation revealed that gang members, deceased individuals, and even well-known names like former First Lady Michelle Obama have been fraudulently used in applications. If this circus wasn’t alarming enough, the potential for rampant sex trafficking under this setup must leave anyone concerned about public safety scratching their heads.

The program was intended to alleviate the massive surge of border crossings by allowing migrants to arrive through U.S. airports instead. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas envisioned a system where sponsors would help these migrants stand on their own two feet without draining taxpayers’ wallets. However, as it stands, over 330 sponsors were found to be collecting welfare, turning the whole concept of self-support right on its head. It’s almost as if the administration was running a “who can sponsor the most freeloaders” contest.

The report has unearthed alarming statistics that would make any conservative proud to rant about. Over 80,000 sponsors were non-citizens themselves, and yet they were still allowed to bring in another wave of “temporary” foreigners. This has set the stage for a never-ending chain migration, where the only criteria for entry seem to be having a decent Wi-Fi connection to apply. Talk about cutting corners while the American public gets tossed aside.

As the DHS wrings its hands over the out-of-control mess it’s created, the American people are left wondering just how deep the incompetence runs. A grand total of three million sponsorship applications filed should have raised alarm bells long ago, especially when many of those applicants have murky backgrounds. If punters on Wall Street can get analyzed up and down for a few bucks, it seems only fair that potential sponsors to newcomers in America be held to similar scrutiny. Unfortunately, with the Biden administration, it appears the real vetting is simply handing out opportunities to anyone with a sob story— and perhaps a cell phone.
