Chicago, “the sanctuary city,” has become a hotbed for President Joe Biden’s illegal aliens and the influx has brought with it a potentially dangerous sickness. According to Chicago health officials, tuberculosis, a potentially fatal disease spread through the air, has been discovered among the illegal border crossers being housed by the city for free in its “migrant shelters.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that TB can be deadly and is spread through the air. Although there is no effective vaccine, it can be treated with antibiotics. The illegal immigrants will presumably receive this treatment for free.

Dr. Aniruddha Hazra, associate professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, assures Chicagoans that there is no need to panic. He believes that the people most at risk are the other migrants living in the shelters. The city also downplays the discovery of the disease and claims that the infected illegals are not spreading it.
Democratic Alderman Raymond Lopez criticized Mayor Brandon Johnson’s administration and demanded immunization requirements for “asylum seekers.” He stated that “performative politics & hurt feelings kept City Hall from avoiding the obvious looming disaster.” Lopez also pointed out that the Windy City is currently experiencing a significant outbreak of measles, with most of the cases found inside one of the migrant shelters.
It’s no surprise that Chicago has been hit hard as officials draw illegal immigrants to the city with millions of dollars’ worth of freebies. The influx of illegal immigrants due to Democratic policies is not only a strain on resources but also poses a health risk to American citizens.
In addition to the public health disaster caused by President Biden’s border crisis, Chicago has been struggling with a huge outbreak of measles, with most cases reported inside one of the migrant shelters. Biden’s open border policies are inviting a public health crisis, as illegal immigrants bring in a variety of diseases that were previously under control in the U.S.
