In the midst of President Joe Biden’s border blunder, the United States is dealing with a surge in crime, and it’s not coming from the hard-working American citizens. Illegal immigrants, taking advantage of the wide-open border, have flooded the country, bringing with them a wave of criminal activity. New York City, the concrete jungle where dreams are made, is facing its own nightmare as pickpocketing gangs run wild in the streets.
The New York Police Department is sounding the alarm as bands of sticky-fingered illegal aliens, such as the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and the notorious El Salvadoran MS13, are causing chaos throughout the city. These pickpocketing crews, composed of nearly 100 asylum seekers, have become a major concern for law enforcement. The NYPD has gone as far as using electronic billboard trucks to alert residents and tourists to be on high alert for these criminal migrants.

According to reports from the NYPD and social media accounts like Viral News NYC, illegal immigrant gangs have set up multiple pickpocketing operations, targeting innocent New Yorkers and visitors alike. The city is essentially under siege by organized crime syndicates, with the President of the city’s Detectives’ Endowment Association, Paul DiGiacomo, comparing them to the dreaded Mafia.
To make matters worse, the gang Tren de Aragua is actively recruiting new members from the city’s various migrant shelters, exacerbating the crisis. Despite this alarming surge in crime, President Biden’s ongoing border crisis remains a top concern for New York City voters. A whopping 84 percent of respondents believe that the open border situation is a serious issue, with 57 percent considering it a “very” serious issue, according to a Siena College poll.
The impact of this influx of illegal immigrants on the city has been profound. Since the spring of 2022, over 100,000 asylum seekers have descended upon the Big Apple, overwhelming shelters and resources. Additionally, more than 172,000 illegal immigrants from Mexico have made their way to the city, with over 67,500 now being housed in more than 200 shelters and hotels across the five boroughs.
This wave of crime is not unique to New York City. Other major cities, including Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and San Diego, are experiencing similar spikes in organized crime tied to illegal immigrants flowing in through the President’s open border policies. According to Immigration Customs and Enforcement, the crimes committed by illegal aliens cover a wide spectrum, including over 33,000 assaults, 4,390 sex and sexual assaults, 7,520 weapons offenses, 1,713 charges or convictions for homicide, and 1,655 kidnapping offenses.
In conclusion, the flood of illegal immigrants under President Joe Biden’s weak border policies is fueling a surge in criminal activity, putting the safety and well-being of American citizens at risk. It’s clear that urgent action is needed to address this crisis and restore order to our communities.
