President Joe Biden’s diminishing fitness continues to be a cause for concern, not just for his personal health, but for the state of our great nation. In a recent interview on “60 Minutes,” Biden’s struggle to make it through the segment was evident, as he appeared tired and weak. One might argue that this is nothing new, as we’ve come to expect such performances from our oldest president yet.

During the interview, interviewer Scott Pelley made a feeble attempt to excuse Biden’s often-alarming mental lapses, claiming that the president was simply tired due to a rough week. Pelley informed the audience that at the age of 80, Biden’s lifelong stutter tends to creep back in when he’s fatigued. While this may be a valid reason, it raises concerns about whether our leader has the stamina to effectively govern, especially during tumultuous times like the recent Hamas attacks on Israel.
As the President of the United States, Biden should be energized and alert, ready to tackle the responsibilities of his office. Instead, we witness him hiding away, presumably to limit any potential embarrassing gaffes. It’s reminiscent of his 2020 campaign strategy, where he spent most of his time in the basement, shielded from scrutiny. Is this how he plans to secure another four years in office? The American people deserve better.
Critics of the interview have also pointed out the softball questions lobbed at Biden. Former President Trump didn’t hold back in his criticism, accusing “60 Minutes” of shamefully leading Biden along like a lost child. He argued that the questions were so carefully crafted that they practically provided the answers themselves, making it appear as though Biden was competent and informed. This kind of biased journalism only serves as a campaign contribution to the Democrats.
Trump further chastised CBS for their protection of Biden, calling him the “most corrupt and incompetent President in the history of the United States.” He also highlighted the network’s failure to apologize for their attempts to discredit the claims about Hunter Biden’s laptop, which have since been proven true. It’s clear that the media is not holding Biden accountable and is doing a disservice to the American people.
It’s time for transparency and honest reporting in our media, especially when it comes to our leader’s fitness for office. The nation’s future depends on it, and we cannot afford to ignore the red flags that continue to emerge.
