Biden’s Press Sec Fumbles as Hunter Skips Subpoena for Party Politics

Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, deftly evaded a congressional subpoena concerning inquiries regarding President Biden's son, Hunter, as if it were a burning potato. Hunter Biden made the decision to host a press conference soiree in lieu of appearing before the House Oversight Committee for a closed-door deposition. Isn't that a classic move by the Biden clan?

Throughout the press conference, Hunter Biden leveled accusations against Republicans, asserting that their politically motivated investigations are motivated solely by malice. James Comer (R-Kentucky), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, will not permit Hunter to get away with this farce. He is prepared to impeach Hunter Biden for disobedience of Congress before the phrase "Impeachment Inquiry!" can be uttered.

However, when journalists interrogated Jean-Pierre regarding Hunter's ploy, she responded angrily, refusing to answer any inquiries. She insisted on deferring responsibility to Hunter's personal representatives, stating that Hunter's decision to create a significant disaster for himself was none of her business.

President Biden has stated in the past that individuals who disobey a subpoena issued by Congress should face criminal prosecution. Doesn't it appear that the fruit falls not too far from the tree? Recall the January 6 incident in which a number of Republicans and those affiliated with the GOP refused to honor subpoenas issued by Nancy Pelosi's committee, and the committee's disregard for House rules? Peter Navarro, a former Trump trade advisor and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, was convicted for his dissent and refusal to cooperate with the January 6 committee.

Navarro and Bannon are currently appealing their convictions. What, then, is the matter here? The Biden administration has exhibited the archetypal "do as I say, not as I do" mentality. People, disregard the double standard!
