In a shocking revelation, the House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, a part of the House Judiciary Committee, has uncovered deeply troubling evidence of federal law enforcement agencies colluding with financial institutions to flag transactions containing terms like “MAGA” and “Trump.” This egregious violation of privacy has sent shockwaves through the conservative community.

The Subcommittee obtained documents outlining how FinCEN distributed materials to financial institutions following the events of January 6, 2021. These materials advised institutions to use generic terms like “TRUMP” and “MAGA” to surveil Zelle payment messages. What’s more, practitioners of faith were not spared from this invasive monitoring, as transactions involving Christian bibles and other religious texts were also flagged as potential indicators of “extremism.”
If that wasn’t enough, purchases at stores like Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop were also placed under scrutiny, sending a chilling message to law-abiding American citizens who simply seek to exercise their Second Amendment rights.
This overreach has rightly incensed House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, who has demanded transcribed interviews with FBI Director Christopher Wray and former Director of the Office of Stakeholder Integration and Engagement in the Strategic Operations Division of FinCEN, Noah Bishoff. The American people deserve answers, and Jordan is leading the charge to hold those responsible for this abuse of power accountable.
This disturbing revelation is just the latest in a series of oversteps by the FBI, as evidenced by the improper conduct of hundreds of thousands of searches and surveillance on American citizens without warrants. The rights of law-abiding Americans must be protected, and this alarming discovery underscores the urgent need for accountability and reform within our federal law enforcement agencies.
The conservative community will not stand idly by as our rights are trampled upon by a government that is supposed to protect and serve us. This gross violation of privacy is a stark reminder of the dangers of unchecked government power, and it is imperative that those responsible are held to account for their actions. The American people deserve nothing less than the preservation of their constitutional freedoms, and we must demand transparency and accountability from those entrusted with upholding the rule of law.
