Blue Jays Star Slammed for Opposing Woke Agenda – Where’s Free Speech Now?!

Blue Jays pitcher, Anthony Bass, has landed himself in hot water after endorsing Target and Bud Light boycotts on his Instagram story. The video that the pitcher supported called on Christians to boycott both companies, citing their support of transgender ideology. Target and Bud Light have seen their sales plummet after promoting LGBT-themed products. Left-wing sports journalists and fans were quick to criticize Bass and demanded an apology while also calling for disciplinary action.

Bass apologized on Tuesday, before going on to say that he was wrong to express his views publicly and that he was hurtful towards the Pride community, which included his friends and family members. Although his apology was a start, Blue Jays Manager, John Schneider, saw the need for continued work with the player and resources that can help him to understand and acknowledge that he was in the wrong.

Bass’ apology came shortly after Nationals pitcher Trevor Williams expressed his dismay at the Los Angeles Dodgers for inviting an anti-Catholic group to their pride night. The group, which has caused controversy before by dressing up as Catholic nuns, was initially turned away by the team. However, after protests from Catholics, the group was eventually invited and will be honored during the team’s upcoming Pride Night promotion in June.

Conservative voices have since criticized the Dodgers for their lack of respect and inclusivity towards individuals of faith. The controversy is yet another example of how liberal values and ideals are being pushed onto people by companies and sports organizations. It seems like freedom of speech only applies when it fits the liberal agenda. Conservatives, who hold traditional values, are seen as obstacles to progress and change.

The world of sports should be neutral ground and should remain free from political influence. Unfortunately, liberal activism has made its way into the field of sports and has changed the nature of sports culture. However, conservatives will not back down, and they will continue to stand up for their beliefs and principles. The Blue Jays’ disciplinary action against Bass and the criticism of the Dodgers’ handling of the anti-Catholic group are further signs that traditional values will not be silenced in the world of sports.
