According to Ratcliffe's expert evaluation, the lab leak hypothesis is the only explanation that is backed by government intelligence, scientific findings, and logical reasoning. He went on to state that if the evidence supporting the lab leak theory were compared to the evidence for the natural origins or spillover theory, the former would be much stronger while the latter would be weak at best.
