Gates acknowledged interactions with Epstein and described them as “a grave error in judgment,” testimony that only raises more questions about judgment and judgment calls among the powerful.
An independent review published recently confirmed what many suspected: the Gates Foundation and related staff met with Jeffrey Epstein repeatedly between 2011 and 2014, with the review finding roughly thirty encounters. That scale of contact with a convicted sex offender ought to alarm every parent and taxpayer who trusted these institutions to behave responsibly.
