Daily Wire’s Bold Sequel Exposes Islamist Extremism in Hollywood’s Blind Spot

The Daily Wire is doubling down on courage where Hollywood fears to tread, releasing the trailer for Run Hide Fight: Infidels — a sequel that dares to show what so many in the mainstream press try to ignore. The film’s producers and promoters are unapologetic about telling a story of violent Islamist radicals forcing a campus into a nightmarish surrender, and conservative audiences are rightly mobilizing to see truth on the screen.

The plot is intentionally provocative: a pro-Palestine encampment on a liberal campus is overtaken by violent extremists and ordinary Americans have to fight back to survive. Critics scream “Islamophobia,” but Americans who pay attention understand the difference between criticizing a violent, totalitarian ideology and attacking innocent people of faith.

What makes this movie feel urgently relevant is not fiction alone but real politics playing out in places like Michigan, where Democrat Abdul El‑Sayed’s primary victory has become a lightning rod for debate about identity, ideology, and public safety. Conservatives are not buying the media’s attempt to make this just another intra‑party spat — they see a pattern of cultural surrender that this film refuses to normalize.

This isn’t about broad‑brushed bigotry; it’s about confronting Islamist extremism wherever it shows up and about not letting campuses become lawless spaces where bad actors exploit chaos. The Daily Wire’s defenders argue that if the establishment media won’t tell these stories, then conservative outlets and filmmakers must, because public discourse and security depend on citizens who are willing to name the threat.

Those concerns aren’t theoretical. Michigan was the scene earlier this year of a brutal attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, where a vehicle ramming and shooting left the community shaken and forced the country to reckon with domestic terror on our soil. Events like that remind patriots that art and politics intersect with real security needs — and that complacency has a cost.

Of course the cultural establishment is outraged; petitions and op‑eds denounce the film as propaganda and call for boycotts, while loud voices on the left insist any criticism of Islamist violence equals hatred of Muslims. Conservatives should meet that hysteria with clear thinking: demand fair reporting, defend the right to portray villains in fiction, and challenge the double standard that censors one side of a legitimate national conversation.

Hardworking Americans deserve storytellers who reflect the world as it is, not as the fashionable elites wish it were. If we are to preserve our freedoms and protect our communities, we must support art and journalism that face uncomfortable truths, insist on secure campuses and synagogues, and hold leaders accountable for defending the homeland — not apologizing for those who threaten it.
